KATY WERNER
VICE PRESIDENT, CONTRACT SPECIALIST
Katy joined Elevate, a ‘law company’ with over 1600 employees worldwide, as its business development team’s first “contracts specialist” where she leverages her 10+ years of managed services and consulting experience to build successful enterprise contract lifecycle management (CLM) partnerships with F500 stakeholders.
Katy’s decade of CLM experience places her in a small, highly specialized group of CLM-focused alternative legal services industry executives. Her ability to apply historical context and recount what really happens 5 years “after CLM implementation” inspires trust and grounds her opinions in sometimes stark reality.
Katy initially pursued a traditional law practice in Los Angeles for over 10 years, first as a federal judicial law clerk for retired U.S. District Judge George King in the Central District of California, then as a litigator for over 5 years at O’Melveny & Myers, LLP, and as in-house counsel for over 4 years. She obtained her law degree from U.C. Davis, King Hall School of Law, where she received the Justice Frances Newell Carr Memorial Scholarship and her undergraduate degree in English from Stanford, where she was a National Merit Scholar.
